Friday Mind Game.
This weeks friday mind game is...
I command that you shall hear it over and over and over....
Muhahaha ha ha ha haaa
You know, like one of those endless loop tape thingys.
Come on, you've got to have heard of those thing. What, have you been living in a cave all your life?!?
Fine, just hit replay a few times and we'll call it even.
Jeez, some people. How can one be expected to be a halfway descent mad scientist if I've got to work with this!? I mean really....

Confession time again.
I'm a caliber snob. There I said it. In fact, I'm not ashamed to admit it either.
- I believe The Great Ceiling Cat did create two perfect calibers. The .45ACP and .308Win (or 7.62x51 if you're so inclined), I think it was on day 3 or 4, I'm not sure, its been a while since I read The Great Kitty Litter Box.
- If you're going to carry a defensive handgun, the caliber better have a 4 in it. Preferably followed by a 5. Yes, yes, I know, a .22 in the hand is better than a .45 at home.. yada yada yada. This is about me being a caliber snob, not about your philosophy of self-defense. Get it? Me Me Me.
- JMB for sainthood!!! That is all
- If you're looking for stopping power, get a baseball bat. And aim for the knees. Of course people look at you funny with a baseball bat stuffed down your pant leg. If you don't want to limp around all day, pack a .45.
- Guys who carry .45's are just cooler than guys who don't
- Women who carry .45's are way sexier than women who don't. If they would just make a perfume that smells like Hopps #9.
Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves.

Friday Mind Game.
Today's wit destroying song is:
I am an evil genius. With this song running over and over in your head through the power of my psychic. You shall be left witless. And once you are all witless, I shall rule the blogiverse. For truly, in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king and I, I am a halfwit!
Cue ominous laugh.

Yes folks, you're seeing it here first. Undercover hidden camera footage of the trial runs of the "Big Secret Project" smuggled out by my crack team of investigative trappist monks. Watch and be in awe and wonder.
Friday Mind Game.
This weeks mind game shall be this song:
I shall now cause it to play over and over in your head through the power of my mind alone.
[insert mad scientist laugh here]
Your psychic kung fu is not teh strong.

Confessional
I, like all good superheros, have one weakness. My weakness?... LOLCats. Come on, look at this

And tell me you weren't all a-chuckle inside. I can and have read LOLCats and LOLDogs for hours. I'm waiting for a 12 Step Program.
Ooo... and Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream.
I guess that would be 2 things then. I wonder what the superhero rules on more than one weakness are? Well, anyways, I have just 2 weaknesses. And I completely own them....
And any cookie with "chunk" in the title....
Three, I have three weaknesses...
When exactly did i become a Monty Python sketch?

A little shooty goodness.
Today was a shooty day for me. A friend of mine who just took his CCW class and submitted his paperwork wanted to fire his soon to be carry piece. He picked up a Kahr PM9 (?) for carry. And I had some new ammo from a past gun show that I wanted to try out. It's a factory reload from an outfit called Outdoor Marksman Corp.
So, off to the range we trundled. After a puzzling jam on his Kahr with his first round, fun was had. It's always good to go to the range. There's something sort of Zen about it. There's a rhythm about it. A physical mantra, if you will.
Loaded mags placed to the right.
Unloaded 1911, slide locked back, in the center.
Pick up gun
Load mag
Rack slide
Safety on
Set gun down pointed down range.
Breath
Stance
4 rules
Breath
Draw the gun
Take aim
Safety off
Front sight, press
Breath
Front sight, press
Breath
Empty mag, slide locked back
Remove mag, place on the left
Set gun down
Repeat as long as you want or can afford.
The same process repeated. Allowing you to push the thoughts and worries of the day aside. Freeing the conscious mind from them and allowing the unconscious mind to mull them over. It feels good to punch holes in paper for a couple of hours and not think about anything else.
Of course it could just be me.

There's a little Rooster Cogburn in all of us...
Even in Joan Rivers... But he's trying to get out.
What Kind of a Western Bad-Ass are You? created with QuizFarm.com | ||||||||||||||||||||
| You scored as John Wayne You a classic all American cowboy who does the right thing. When you're sober. Which means occasionally. You like horses, the outdoors, whiskey, hot tempered women, whiskey, and bourbon.
